Garfield Park Watch In the summer of 2007 Omar Rodriguez volunteered to head a group called Garfield Park Watch. He gathered names, phone numbers and email addresses of neighbors who were willing to step up and re-own our neighborhood park. The group went door-to-door passing out flyers and talking with neighbors. They even received a verbal commendation from the Everett Police Department on maintaining control when dealing with unruly kids. The group sports green ball caps with gold lettering, and when kids see them coming they feel safe to enjoy the park without being harassed by other kids. The goal of the group is to help prevent vandalism and harassment from over-taking our park. They are a group of neighbors and friends helping to keep Garfield Park a place for all to enjoy.
