2011 Coop of Dreams Tour: Meet the Flockers

There were 12 city chicken owners who opened their coops to the public on the Coop of Dreams tour. It should have been all about the chickens but this year there were ducks too, not to mention some nice gardens and an awesome tree house! Coops on the tour varied in size, style and materials. There were cute barn coops, tractor-styles which are moveable coops on wheels, and even an octagon coop that was originally a gazebo on display at the garden show.

2010 Coop of Dreams Tour in the news RNA sponsored the first ever chicken coop tour in the city of Everett on Saturday, July 24, 2010. This self-guided tour gave tour-goers the opportunity to see how city dwellers raise their chickens, view a variety of coop designs, ask fowl questions and learn about backyard chicken keeping. The response was phenomenal. Participants say there was a steady stream of tour-goers during the four hour tour. People came from as far south as Olympia and as far north as Bellingham.
